About Us

Energy Matters was founded by Ronan Rogers in April 2006.  The company was formed to meet the growing demand for advice and specialised services related to energy use in buildings.

As with all new industries and especially with the recent rapid establishment of energy consultancies and BER assessor companies around the country, there is a large variance in the standards provided by these companies, within the industry.  Energy Matters are keen to highlight our market leading qualifications, competencies and established track record in the indusrty, which allows us to provide our clients with the highest possible quality of service and value for money.

Energy Matters Office

Energy Matters Main office is located in the Innovation in Business Centre on GMIT's campus in Galway City.

The Innovation in Business Centre (IiBC) forms the centre of GMIT's energy research program.  The building has a large range of renewable energy and monitoring technologies integrated into the building, which are continuously monitored and assessed by GMIT's research team.  This provides Energy Matters with a valuable link to up to date independent data on these technologies, which we can pass onto our clients.
